First-year students interested in placing into the advanced section of mechanics, Physics 24A, or jumping over mechanics entirely should take the placement exam from 12:30 to 3:30 pm in Shanahan B460. You may use a calculator for numeric work; no computers.

Interested students who have conflicts should make arrangements with Prof. Saeta to take the appropriate exam at another time, ideally during normal business hours. You will need a three-hour block.
