All interested first-year students who wish to place out of the spring semester’s mechanics course (Physics 24), or into an advanced section (Physics 24A), should take a 3-hour placement examination starting at 12:30 in Shanahan 3481. You may bring a calculator, but it is unnecessary for the exam.

Students wishing to challenge Physics 51 (Electricity, Magnetism, and Quantum Optics) must take the 3-hour challenge exam in this time slot, as well. Same location.
